what the hell is that lion doing driving the van? you may well ask. roary was guarding guitars at gary's, & in return he asked to come with us on our trip to eindhoven. the alternative for him was the council tip, so how could we "refuse"? when it was time for the concert, roary's ego (& paranoia-inducing drug intake) had grown to the point where he insisted on joining us onstage to guard the band against possible stage invasion. as i write, he may well be finally m3eeting his fate in a Cheshire council crusher. this concert was his last hurrah and we humbly dedicate it to him.

radio massacre international's sound defies categorization it is more magical than musical. the music is, first and foremost, improvisational. it is loose in structure but also searching. r.m,i. is all about generating the happy accidents that occur at the ever-changing intersection of multiple moving bodies. when two sequences converge fascinating things happen opening rhythmic and textural options that just moments before were closed to view. it is the creation and exploration of those options that dominates what r.m,i. does in its music.
